Seve Garanzuay
Mr. Garanzuay is an experienced energy markets executive, with more than 25 years of experience delivering solutions for power utilities, transmission system operators, and market participants across the globe. He is the Founder and Managing Director of Garanzuay Consulting.
Mr. Garanzuay has a depth of experience helping clients solve complex problems across business and technology strategy, programme planning, project implementation, and stakeholder engagement. He provides business advisory, subject matter expertise, and project leadership on a range of electricity market transformation and readiness projects for leading US, European, Middle Eastern, and Australian energy market participants.
Mr. Garanzuay recently supported a pan-European grid security programme, helped a Middle East System Operator with the development of a Technology Roadmap and Investment Cases. He is currently engaged with clients in Europe and the Middle East on a variety of energy transition and operations programmes.
Before founding Garanzuay Consulting, Seve served in leadership roles in management and technology consulting (Accenture) and engineering software solution providers (ABB Enterprise Software).
A native of Austin, TX, USA, Seve has recently spent much of his time in Ireland. He enjoys the Irish culture and lifestyle, and continues to learn the high art of driving through a roundabout.

Una Clarke
Executive Assistant to the Managing Director
As the Executive Assistant to the Managing Director of Garanzuay Consultancy, Una aims to be the catalyst that propels Garanzuay Consultancy towards greater heights. With over 25 years of experience working with Senior Leadership teams at Smart Wire Grid Europe, IDA Ireland and Lufthansa Airmotive, Mrs Clarke has gained valuable insights and skills that contribute to her adaptability and efficiency.
With a passion for organisation, a keen eye for detail, and a knack for problem-solving, Una is dedicated to ensuring seamless operations and exceptional support in our fast-paced consultancy environment. She facilitates clear communication between the MD and various stakeholders, streamlining workflows and supporting effective decision-making.
Dr. Mohammad Albaijat
Senior Associate
Dr. Albaijat brings 25+ years of experience in power systems operations, technology design and implementation, and the delivery of major wholesale electricity market transformation and operations programmes. An expert in the domain and technologies used in wholesale electricity market operations, from planning to scheduling and dispatch, Dr. Albaijat has delivered technology and engineering consulting solutions for many market transformation programs across the globe, including CAISO, NYISO, KPX, PJM, IESO, TRANSCO (Abu Dhabi), TEPCO (JAPAN), ERCOT, and EirGrid/SONI.
He chairs the newly established working group at ERCOT, focusing on large-scale inverter-based resource implementation challenges.
He earned his BS in Electrical Engineering at The University of Jordan, a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering at Illinois Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Electrical Engineering at the University of California at Davis. In his spare time, Dr. Albaijat is a reviewer for IEEE in the Power System Society for papers in algorithms and optimization techniques.
Kasim Ali
Advisor
Mr Ali is a consultant with 12 years of experience in energy markets as a business analyst and energy market trading operations professional. He has worked at a variety of global energy companies in energy trading, asset optimisation, and technology delivery.
During the implementation of the recent I-SEM market transformation programme, Kasim worked for Hitachi Energy with various market participants. Kasim excels at developing and representing business requirements and helping manifest those into meaningful technology solutions.
Bill Dagan
Senior Advisor
With over 25 years of project and product management experience in energy markets, Mr Dagan has worked across the energy operations spectrum in N. American electricity markets. Acting as a Market Participant, he has supported the onboarding, scheduling, and settlements of renewable resources in the NE USA and Canada electricity markets. He has also specialised in the design and managed development of key technology initiatives from complex business intelligence systems to systems’ integration, and key applications focused on market interface and scheduling.
He has worked with N. American ISO’s focusing on delivering market entry and performance optimisation services to market participants with emphasis on renewable generation in the IESO and NYISO energy markets. His recent experience includes supporting the entry of various types of renewable resources including wind, solar, battery storage, hydro, and landfill gas particularly within the NYISO market.
Rosie Garanzuay
Chief Morale Officer
We are grateful for the role Rosie Garanzuay continues plays for our firm. She remains steadfast as our Chief Morale Officer. With a limitless wellspring of love, an indefatigable and happy spirit, a waggy tail, and a nose for treats, she never fails to improve the morale of everyone she meets!
Rosie played an especially vital role in helping the firm survive COVID in 2020 And 2021. I admit, it was sometimes difficult to get out of bed and make myself go look for – and deliver – work. Cleverly, Rosie knew just how to motivate me. She cheerfully accepted 5 walks/day, tirelessly listened as I recalled the highs and lows of the workday, and knew just when to cuddle for encouragement when times were at their toughest.
